Lifted Movement - Relief Pillow and Wrap

Lifted Movement wellness product photography showing fabric texture and true color accuracy

- about this project
The Project:

Full product inventory for a designer wellness brand

Working from Vancouver, I photographed Lifted Movement's full product inventory over 2.5 shoot days, creating up to 100 images for their premium fitness and recovery line. The brand makes designer-quality equipment meant to live in view at home, including free weights with marble accents, silicone hand weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, the Deluxe Movement Mat, tote and duffel bags, dumbbells, the Arc, wedges, heat wraps, mini motivator, massage gun, hot and ice packs, and a set of holiday campaign images. The focus was delivering true-to-life color and high-detail imagery that clearly shows texture and craftsmanship across different finishes: marble, metal, and silicone. Every product needed to read as premium at first glance.

The Problem:

Color accuracy as a trust signal for premium textiles and mixed materials

For a wellness product photographer in Vancouver, the challenge with this type of line is technical. Customers were not fully understanding the true product colors and materials online. When you are photographing premium textiles like the Relief Pillow and Relief Wrap alongside metal and marble fitness equipment, color accuracy becomes important. A quilted recovery pillow that looks beige online but arrives taupe creates returns. A wrap that photographs with a warm cast when it is actually cool grey undermines trust. With pricing that reflects design-grade materials, the imagery had to justify the premium without over-promising or misrepresenting finish.

The Execution:

Repeatable lighting and color workflow across a mixed-material inventory

I approached the project with a repeatable lighting and color workflow that would work across the full inventory. Soft, diffused, even lighting preserved quilted detail on the textiles without glare while keeping metal and marble finishes legible. A calibrated neutral backdrop prevented color cast, which is essential for e-commerce when customers are viewing on different screens. I used controlled depth of field to maintain surfaces in crisp focus: stitching, seams, the way the wrap drapes, the transition between marble and metal on weights. The goal was clarity without sterility, so the images felt warm and livable while still delivering the detail customers need to understand what they are buying.

Relief pillow and relief wrap as case studies

For the Relief Pillow and Relief Wrap, I shot close angled studies that reveal ergonomics and form. The pillow needed to show how it sits, the weight and drape of the fill, and the quality of the quilting. The wrap needed to communicate both its thermal function and its textile finish. I included product-with-pack compositions so customers could see packaging quality and understand scale. These were not generic white-background shots. The styling was restrained but intentional, using negative space to establish a consistent visual language that positions these pieces as decor-integrated wellness tools, not clinical medical supplies or generic drugstore products.

Texture-forward detail studies alongside clean e-commerce views

The approach extended across the full line. Free weights and kettlebells required finish-specific lighting to show marble veining and metal texture without hotspots. Silicone grips needed enough detail to prove tactile quality. Resistance bands, the mat, and bags all required the same color accuracy and material clarity. I delivered texture-forward detail studies alongside clean e-commerce views and lifestyle images. The holiday campaign set matched the core visual system, so seasonal content did not feel disconnected from the main catalog. Every image was designed to work across web, email, and social while maintaining the brand's premium positioning.

The Takeaway:

Systematic product photography that justifies premium pricing

For wellness brands working with premium textiles and mixed materials, accurate product photography for e-commerce requires a systematic approach. You need lighting that handles fabric, metal, and marble without compromise. You need color calibration that survives different screens. You need compositions that show both the object and its intended use. If you are building or refreshing a product line that belongs in view at home, let's talk about creating imagery that justifies premium pricing while giving customers the clarity they need to buy with confidence.
