- about this project
The Challenge:
Creating visual clarity and consistency across a complete fitness equipment collection
I photographed Lifted Movement's complete fitness equipment line over 2.5 shoot days, creating up to 100 images spanning their full inventory. The project included free weights, silicone hand weights, kettlebells, resistance bands, the Deluxe Movement Mat, tote bag, duffel bag, dumbbells, the Arc, wedges, heat wraps, mini motivator, massage gun, hot pack, and ice pack, plus a set of holiday campaign images. Lifted designs home fitness equipment that functions as interior decor (marble-accented weights, recycled steel construction, silicone grips) meant to live visibly in homes rather than hidden in closets. The brand needed fitness product line photography that showed true-to-life color and material quality across different finishes so customers could understand what they were buying online.
Working from Vancouver, I built a photography system to maintain visual consistency across marble, metal, and silicone surfaces. The focus was clarity: customers were not fully understanding the true product colors and materials online, so I needed to deliver high-detail images that clearly show texture and craftsmanship. Each product in the collection had to read as premium at first glance while also proving that sand, onyx, or bone tones matched across kettlebells, dumbbells, bands, and mats. Individual product case studies explore the specific techniques used for each piece, but this overview demonstrates how wellness brand portfolio photography can unify a diverse range into one cohesive ecosystem.
Lifted Movement Kettlebells, Deluxe Movement Mat, and Hand Weight Sets shot under identical lighting to prove marble, steel, and silicone all carry the same neutral palette
The Approach:
Building lighting and composition standards across diverse product categories
The approach required shooting multiple products under identical lighting conditions to prove color parity across categories. I used broad, soft diffusion from a consistent direction to create uniform gradients on metal surfaces, preserve marble veining without glare, and render silicone as matte and tactile. Neutral stone backgrounds and careful white balance prevented color casts, keeping hues accurate across every material family. This lighting consistency allowed metals to retain crisp highlights without clipping, blacks to hold detail without crushing, and light neutrals to stay legible without blowing out. The technical discipline meant that a marble dumbbell end photographed on day one matched the marble kettlebell cap shot on day three.
Lifted Movement Silicone Hand Weights: broad diffusion prevents silicone from reading as glossy plastic while preserving tactile micro-texture across sand, bone, and onyx variants
I composed collages featuring two to three products from different categories (strength tools next to recovery gear, weights beside the mat) to show how the line works together visually. These grouped layouts let viewers calibrate color across categories in a single frame, building confidence that what they see online matches what arrives at home. Overlapping placement kept each SKU readable while implying a kit. Scale gradation guided the eye from lighter weights to heavier pieces, and handles angled at similar pitch reinforced the sense of a designed system. Collages doubled as brand-level storytelling: they communicated that Lifted offers functional completeness (training through recovery) within a singular aesthetic.
Lifted Movement Resistance Bands and Mini Motivator grouped to show customers how training tools and recovery devices complement each other in a home workout setup
The Execution:
Delivering accuracy and cohesion across strength, recovery, and carry categories
For individual products, I shot clean angles with consistent crops to serve e-commerce needs, plus high-detail macro passes to make texture unmistakable. Polarization controlled hot spots on reflective metal, revealing silicone grip texture and preserving the etched details in marble ends. I managed micro-reflections on the premium stone surface to echo product materials without introducing competing information. Every piece received the same treatment: front, side, detail views at matching scales so the catalog feels repeatable and organized. This fitness equipment catalog photography approach meant the brand could deploy photos across product pages, paid social, email, press kits, and wholesale line sheets without visual drift.
Lifted Movement Dumbbells: polarization managed on steel bodies to preserve marble veining visibility while keeping metal satin-matte, not mirror-finish
Lifted Movement Tote Bag, Duffel Bag, and sets: fabric weight, handle stitching, and capacity details captured with the same close-up discipline used for kettlebell surface texture
The collection I delivered includes both isolated product shots and multi-SKU compositions. The holiday campaign images added seasonal storytelling without abandoning the core visual language (same lighting, same surfaces, same material accuracy). As a Vancouver product photographer working through the complete inventory in one extended session, I could control color and finish fidelity across every touchpoint. Customers now see how different finishes read under identical light, which reduces surprises about reflectivity, matte versus glossy surfaces, or how marble veining appears in real conditions. This brand photography for a wellness line prioritizes accuracy over aspiration so that premium perception is supported by visual proof rather than editorial filters.
Lifted Movement The Arc and product sets shot to show curved metal construction and bundled configurations with matching exposure that maintains detail across rigid and packaged offerings
Lifted Movement Relief Pillow, Heat Wraps, and product sets shot with controlled diffusion to show wrap flexibility, pillow construction, and bundled offerings without losing individual product detail
Lifted Movement - Dumbbells: True-to-color fitness product photography for Lifted Movement: marble, silicone, and matte finishes rendered with absolute material fidelity
A repeatable visual system that unifies an entire product ecosystem
The result is a complete visual library that positions Lifted Movement's entire range as one designed ecosystem. Collages prove color and material consistency across strength, recovery, and carry categories, while individual shots provide the clarity required for e-commerce conversion. The photography system I built is repeatable: future products can be added to the collection without visual fragmentation because the lighting, cropping, and styling standards are documented. The unified approach supports the brand's positioning as interior-worthy fitness equipment, helping customers understand that marble-accented weights and silicone grips are meant to stay visible in daily life.
If you need fitness product line photography that maintains material accuracy and brand cohesion across a full catalog, I can build a similar system for your collection.
