Commercial Product Photography

Commercial product photography in Vancouver for brands whose products have to look their best everywhere they appear. I shoot packaging, bottles, and complex or reflective products with the lighting control and macro detail that faster, cheaper shoots can't match, so your range reads accurately on a shelf, a product page, or a campaign.

The surfaces most shoots get wrong

Metallic finishes, iridescent packaging, reflective glass, multi-material products: each reflects light differently, and getting them right in one frame takes deliberate lighting, not presets. I control reflections and combine exposures so your glass stays clear, your metal reads as metal, and your matte finish doesn't go shiny.

One shoot, assets for everywhere your brand sells: e-commerce and Amazon, product pages, retail, and campaigns, kept consistent across a full product line so the range reads as one family.

Not every product photographs easily. Reflective surfaces throw glare, multi-material products each need a different lighting approach, and fine detail is what justifies a premium price. I specialize in the technical problem-solving those products demand, so even the hardest items read clearly and look considered. Fast-growing brands also run on deadlines: launches that can't move, retail windows, campaigns that needed assets yesterday. I deliver on compressed schedules without cutting quality, and build a consistent, reusable image library so your product range holds together across every channel it lands on. Usage rights and delivery timeline are agreed up front.

Frequently asked questions

What does a commercial photographer in Vancouver do?

Product and campaign imagery for websites, e-commerce listings, and marketing, built to match a brand's visual identity.

Why hire a local Vancouver commercial photographer instead of a national studio?

In-person consultation, faster local shipping and pickup, and familiarity with Vancouver's studios and suppliers. Final images still deliver to brands anywhere.

What industries does Elina work with?

Primarily beauty, skincare, cosmetics, and fragrance, plus D2C e-commerce more broadly, including food and beverage, apparel, and hair care.

Can you shoot for brands outside Vancouver?

Yes. Works with brands across Canada and the US, including Los Angeles, Seattle, and Toronto, either shipping product to the Vancouver studio or on location.

What's included in a typical commercial photography project?

There's no fixed package, every project is scoped individually. The day rate covers photography. Retouching, usage rights, and any additional needs like models or styling are quoted based on your shot list.

Is a deposit required?

Yes. A deposit is due upfront, with the balance due before final assets are delivered.

Who owns the images after the shoot?

Elina retains copyright by default. You get full usage rights for electronic use, so no new license is needed to reuse delivered images across digital channels. A copyright buyout, at 2x the day rate, transfers full ownership.

How long after the shoot until we get final images?

Up to two weeks.

Can you turn around a rush job for a launch deadline?

Yes, at a rush rate, typically about 50% more than standard.

How do I get a quote?

Email info@elinakustlyvy.com or use the contact form. Share your brand and any shoot-related details that help build an estimate: what the project requires, a shot list if you have one, a deadline, and so on.
